Yahoo buying tumblr…..
Does anyone remember Launch cast? It was an AMAZING music streaming websites in the web 1.0 days that let you play music based on your taste and stuff.. it was a really cool website and got insanely popular. Then, Yahoo bought them and it became “Yahoo Music..” completely ruined it. Took away your skips, censored all of the music, took away half their selection and brought in a ton of Yahoo kooks into the community that were extremely rude and uninviting.
After Yahoo ran that into the ground they eventually acquired Flickr, another amazing and thriving website at time. The place is practically a ghost town now and they are constantly pushing their extra “upgrades on you.” Seriously, how many of you actually goto Flickr for anything besides to dump your photos? (btw only 200 for a free account)
Why would their purchase of Tumblr be any different? Yahoo is dying… they are the cheap knock off of Google and they know it. Tumblr is going to be a lovely place for them to shove advertisements down our throats. And do you really think they won’t put in some sort of bullshit censorship feature to filter out sexual content and bad language? They’ll eventually make it so unbearable that this place will be out of fashion, too.
So yeah, I give this place 5 years before it spontaneously combusts… thats a real shame.

Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed – incapable of doing anything.”
It’s important to remember to let go of your stresses. As early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down. Don’t carry them through the evening and into the night. Remember to put the glass down!
